Our story
PeerChat was born from a simple frustration: Indian regulated enterprises — stockbrokers, banks, insurance companies — were forced to choose between popular chat tools that violated compliance requirements, or clunky enterprise software that nobody wanted to use.
We saw teams at financial firms using WhatsApp for internal communication despite SEBI explicitly requiring message archival and audit trails. We saw IT departments scrambling to prove compliance during regulatory inspections with no tools to help them.
So we built PeerChat. A modern, fast, and genuinely pleasant team communication platform that is also secure by design and compliant by default. Built in India, for Indian enterprises, with Indian regulatory frameworks deeply embedded in the product architecture.
Because compliance should not mean compromise — on security, on user experience, or on data sovereignty.

The idea
Realized Indian regulated enterprises had no secure, compliant team chat that respected data sovereignty.
First prototype
Built the core messaging engine with end-to-end encryption and deployed to a private GKE cluster.
